HGPCA Club Second – Road Rally – 17-20 May 2018
If you are looking for a short, fun driving trip this springtime then you should consider joining the HGPCA (Historic Grand Prix Car Association) on their 2nd Road Rally up in the Scottish Highlands from 17-20th May.
About the Rally:
Following last year’s inaugural rally in North Yorkshire, this year the club are venturing into the Scottish Highlands. Basing themselves at the Art Deco Drumossie Hotel, set in nine acres of parkland with amazing views over the Moray Firth and just 10 minutes from Inverness. Entrants to the Road Rally will gather on the Thursday evening and rally activity begins on Friday morning and includes a visit to a distillery. On Sunday is a planned visit to the Moray Motor Museum in Elgin where participants will have lunch and then be free to make their way home or stay on in Scotland as they wish.
The HGPCA club are interested in hearing from any non-HGPCA members who wish to to join them on their proposed trip, the rally is planned for 25 cars, and is a relaxed, fun and highly social event with good food, comfortable hotels and some fantastic driving. A huge variety of classic cars have already signed up for the event including; Austin Healey 3000; Bristol 404; Ferrari 550 Maranello; Ferrari Dino; Jaguars XK140 & XK150 and a Lancia Stratos amongst others!
The entrance fee is £1500 per car for two people sharing twin or double rooms, including 3 nights bed and breakfast and evening meals. If you are interested in joining the HGPCA party please contact: stella@hgpca.net
