Bonhams Goodwood Members Meeting Auction

Bonhams will be hosting a classic car auction at the 73rd Members’ Meeting – a first for the Goodwood Estate Partner.  The sale will be held on 21 March from 2.00pm which is the Saturday of this weekend-long motor racing occasion.

More than 50 sports, touring and classic cars will be auctioned and those not attending can see the bidding action unfold via an online video stream on the Bonhams website.

mini

1961 Austin Mini Cooper ‘S’

Comprehensively built to comply with FIA Appendix ‘K’ regulations + FIA HTP inspection was completed and passed in November 2014. Estimated £27,000 – £32,000

abarth

1965 Abarth Simca 1300 GT Corsa ‘Long-Nose World Champion’ Coupe

Don’t be fooled by the price, this one is offered ‘as seen’ – which is beautiful on the outside, but comes with a list of missing items including the engine (supplied seperately). Not been used nor worked upon for many years. Great project for someone to complete. Estimate £60,000 – £90,000

1955 Frazer Nash Le Mans Coupé

Currently taxed for the road and described as in generally good condition, ‘XMC 1’ is offered with an extensive history file, including a V5C registration document; numerous period photographs, press cuttings and advertisements; assorted correspondence and other material.

This exceptionally well-documented Le Mans model offers someone a unique opportunity to acquire part of the legend. Eligible for all the most prestigious motor sports events including the Tour Auto, Mille Miglia, Goodwood Revival and, of course, Le Mans. Estimated ‘£550.000 – £650.000’

1947 HRG Le Mans Lightweight Sports

Recently raced at historic events such as the Silverstone Classic, Le Mans Classic and Le Mans Legends races. Highlights include pole position at the 2009 Le Mans Legends and a ‘Class 1’ win in that same event in 2013. Swift and a proven class winner, ‘HXR 530’ comes with current HTP papers, is ‘on the button’ and ready to race. Estimate £160,000 – £220,000

Lotus

1958 Lotus Eleven Series 2 Le Mans Sports-racer

Used for Road use and some recent demonstration laps and events, this car has a V5C registration document and FIA HVIF papers issued in UK in 1998. Should be eligible for all the best events suspect it may need some upgrades. Estimated £90,000 – £110,000
