Scramblers becomes StarterMotor Patron

Scramblers has underlined its commitment to support StarterMotor by offering every one of its Ambassadors a free Pegasus membership to join the Bicester Heritage club.

The donation, when combined with the continued growth of the membership that donates a minimum of £5 to the charity with every upgrade, has also elevated Scramblers to StarterMotor Patron status. The first donation of £2610 was presented to the charity in August 2022.

Ambassadors, the young volunteers who give up their time on behalf of StarterMotor to promote the use of old cars by the next generation, will receive all of the benefits enjoyed by Scramblers’ Pegasus members. That includes free entry to each month’s Assembly held at Bicester Heritage, a free portrait of their car from an event, discounts at selected specialists on site and early access to tickets to Scrambles and Flywheel.

The first Ambassadors to receive their welcome packs collected them at the second Scramblers event of 2023: Ford February.

“StarterMotor and its cause is one shared by Scramblers, so it was only natural to extend this offer to the charity,” said Philip White, Associate Director – Brand & Marketing, Bicester Heritage. “Hopefully it will attract new volunteers to StarterMotor, but more importantly it is excellent to be able to reward those young enthusiasts already giving up their weekends and spare time across the country.”

“For Scramblers to take on Patron status alongside companies such as Chubb and Historit is astonishing when you consider it launched just two years ago.”

David Withers, StarterMotor Chief Executive, added: “We are delighted to welcome Scramblers as a Patron of StarterMotor, the first of its kind to reach that status. Its continued support, financially and beyond, is highly regarded by every Ambassador and we are excited to offer each of them such rewarding benefits.”
