More details on this event will be announced shortly. Completing the programme are two-day race meetings on the Brands Hatch Indy, Cadwell Park and Silverstone National circuits.

Other changes for 2020 include:

HSCC unveils 1980s Production Car Challenge a new race series for production touring, sports and GT cars from the 1980s.

The new series will be open to cars with standard bodyshells and only minor modifications to engines and suspension. The series will not be open to Caterhams or homologation specials for competition. Cars will be split into classes based on engine size, with a separate class for turbocharged cars. Cars will race on treaded types from Motorsport UK list 1A, 1B and 1C.
The HSCC plans to run several pilot races later in 2020, ahead of a fuller programme in 2021. The series will compliment the Club’s existing highly successful Historic and 70s Road Sports Championships, which cater for cars from the mid-1950s through to the end of 1979.

HSCC widens Historic Touring Car classes for 2020 – The rules for the championship for Pre ’66 Touring Cars will be changed to allow 1300cc Austin A30s, A35s, A40s and Morris Minors to join the grid. Previously, these cars were only admitted with engines up to 1150cc. – The HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship has a strong calendar of races at prime events and the 2020 schedule will include races on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit at the Legends of Brands meeting and at the Oulton Park Gold Cup. The provisional schedule includes double-headers at Donington Park and Oulton Park.

HSCC unveils 1980s single-seater category for up to 2-litre single-seater racing cars from the 1980s.
The new series is to be titled the Geoff Lees Trophy in deference to one of the UK’s most popular and successful single-seater racers of the era and Lees has given enthusiastic backing for the series.  The series will be open to Formula 2, Formula Atlantic, Formula 3, Formula Ford 2000 and Formula Super Vee cars built and raced during the 1980s, while an invitation class will be available to other suitable period single-seaters including those from Formula Vauxhall Lotus and Formula Renault. The Club’s hugely successful Historic Formula 2 Championship has a cut-off at the end of 1978, so the Geoff Lees Trophy will appeal to owners of 2-litre F2 cars built from 1979 to the end of the category in 1984.
