This Healey 3000 car was sent new to California. During the late 1980’s it was sold to a new owner in Holland, with the sole intention of racing in Historic events. The car was subjected to a full bare shell total restoration and prepared to European FIA status. Starting racing in around 1990 the car competed in numerous well known GT race series and other longer endurance events such as Spa 6 Hours. In 2010 the owner retired from historic racing and the Healey was put on display in the Dutch Healey Museum in Vreeland. By this time the car had become very well known in European racing circles in its distinctive colour scheme. During 2015 the car was acquired by a UK based husband and wife racing operation. For the 2016 season an in depth race preparation and engine strip down and refresh was carried out by renowned specialists Dennis Welch Motorsport, dyno figures gave the desired power to be competitive in GTSCC, RAC TT and Guards Trophy Equipe GTS, etc but flexible for road events and road use.
A new ATL 100 Litre fuel tank was installed. A Zero 3000 gas fire system was also fitted. The 6 point (Hans) harness & Recaro seat were all new in 2016. Finally new 10 year FIA papers were provided. The Healey was prepared regardless of cost ! The car has been carefully used in 10 race events only since arriving in the UK at which time it has performed faultlessly. The engine has had a recent full overhaul and camshaft change by renowned Healey specialist David Smithies and is now tested and ready for the 2019 season. A suspension update, overhaul and set up has also been carried out. Chassis and body condition and paintwork is in excellent with zero corrosion. A change in the present owners racing plans for 2019 leaves the car now for sale.

All functioning correctly. * The engine is a full race Dennis Welch unit ( DW will not provide Dyno info) * All steel internals, crankshaft & rods and forged pistons, race alloy cylinder head, 3 x 45 DCOE Webber carbs on FIA manifold. New Ryan Edwards dual silencer 316 stainless exhaust system and 110 db and side exit. * Recent engine strip and overhaul by Healey 3000 specialist David Smithies. * Recently overhauled overdrive and not raced since. * Cooling system and ducting is all new including a replacement new legal brass radiator. * Transponder, permanently wired. * Fully prepared and serviced for the 2019 season. * Eligible for Equipe GTS – HSCC Guards Trophy – RAC TT Silverstone Classic – GTSCC.
