Donington Historic Festival – Timetable Announced

The action-packed timetable for the 2018 Donington Historic Festival (May 4, 5 and 6) has been announced, and it promises a feast for historic motorsport fans.

With a fantastic range of world-class grids to appeal to everyone from lovers of single-seaters to Tin-Tops, DHF 2018 will see several hundred classic racing cars spanning nine decades take to the world-famous Donington Park track.

Festival visitors on Friday May 4 – qualifying day – will be able to witness every single race series in action as all competitors battle it out for their place on the grid. Saturday May 5 sees 10 races, including the return to DHF of the highly glamorous pre-63 GT and the Festival debut of the HSCC Derek Bell Trophy for Formula 5000 and Formula 2 single-seaters from 1967-79. The equally impressive schedule for Sunday May 6 features nine races, including the ‘Mad Jack’ race for Pre-War Sports Cars, the GT and Sports Car Cup for pre-66 GT and pre-63 sportscars and the second Derek Bell Trophy race.

Spectators can also enjoy the all-access open paddock, pitlane walks, Group B rally car and historic kart demonstrations, supercar and classic car passenger rides with the Sporting Bears, thousands of classic cars gathering in the infield and DHF’s family-friendly, inclusive atmosphere.

Advance discounted tickets

Online tickets offer great discounts over buying on the gate, starting at £10 for the Friday qualifying day (£15 on the gate). Children aged under 13 are admitted for free and there are discounted tickets for teenagers aged 13-15. Car parking is free, and owners of pre-1990 classics who are not attending with one of the registered clubs can request a free infield display parking pass when they book their tickets.
