Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival Deliveries Continue as Company Embarks on Significant USA Tour Covering Over 8000 Miles Through 18 States

Deliveries of the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival – the most authentic interpretation of the legendary 5300 GT – continue to customers all over the world.

This latest example, one of just 24 cars meticulously hand-built, and finished in striking yellow, is a perfect showcase for the Bizzarrini brand as it commences a tour of the USA. The car marks a first for the 5300 GT Corsa Revival series, which up until now has only seen cars finished in the iconic Rosso Corsa colour and racing livery, faithful to the original 1965 vehicle. Further colours will be available for this car, hinting at the levels of personalisation to come for Giotto, the new Bizzarrini Hyper GT.

Julian Jenkins, Bizzarrini Chief Commercial Officer, said: “With over 18 months of detailed analysis utilising original engineering drawings and sourcing many original components, the team have created the most authentic recreation of the iconic 5300 GT Corsa. Our upcoming tour offers an opportunity to celebrate the life of Giotto Bizzarrini, and his unparalleled contribution to the Automotive world, as well as showcasing the 5300 GT Corsa Revival and the exciting plans for our future Hyper GT – The Giotto.”

This unique car will arrive in California just ahead of Monterey Car Week alongside a sister car that has already successfully competed at the Spa Classic. Both cars will feature at a number of prominent events over the week including the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca and at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering

A series of further events post Monterey Car Week will see the cars travelling across the United States to take part in several events offering car enthusiasts the chance to experience the iconic brand.

Each car in the Revival series of 24 vehicles is a hand built continuation, authentically based on the car that won its class at Le Mans in 1965, with a lightweight single piece composite body, over a steel frame. Inside, the two seats are protected by a more comprehensive six-point roll cage and safety fuel cell, meeting FIA Appendix K regulations. Test drives of the Revival revealed a car that feels subtly more rigid than original examples. With a front-mid engine layout, independent rear suspension to Giotto’s Corsa specification and all-round disc brakes paired with a period-specific 5,300 cubic centimeter V8 developing over 400 horsepower, the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Revival Corsa has a power to weight ratio comparable to a modern supercar.

In addition to the ongoing hand-building and delivery of the Revival project, the Bizzarrini team is finalising the specification and design for the future Giotto Hyper GT car. The car aims to translate the enduring genius of Giotto Bizzarrini – one of the greatest automotive engineers of his generation – into beautiful, hand built, powerful, evocative, and exclusive performance cars for the modern era.

Chris Porritt, Bizzarrini Chief Technical Officer, said: “The Bizzarrini team has already established incredible foundations for the reborn brand, with a clear identity and a seriously impressive product in the Corsa Revival. Plans are well advanced for the evolution of the Bizzarrini brand, the first step of which will be revealed shortly. The goal is to build a car that is pure, sensually engaging. The art of engineering used to create enormously fast and capable – but extraordinary – cars.”

Giotto Bizzarrini initially made his name as controller of experimental, Sports and GT car development at Ferrari and played the key role in the development of the iconic Ferrari 250 GTO, latterly developing the advanced aerodynamics for the legendary Ferrari 250-based ‘bread van’. Giotto is also renowned for his work in building the famous Lamborghini V12 engine, first used on Lamborghini’s debut model, the 350 GT. The engine proved such a compelling design that aspects of this engine were used by Lamborghini right up until 2010.
