Race and Rally into 2021 – Part 3

Race and Rally into 2021 – Part 3 Under lockdown rules we haven’t been allowed to visit our race or rally organisers like we normally would have at either Race Retro or any classic car shows. So we thought we would bring the latest news directly to the competitors by talking with all the major race and rally organisers and find out what their plans are for the forthcoming year.

In Part 3 we continue talking to race organisers, we kick off in France chatting with Vanessa and Flavien Marcais who run the GT and Sports Car Cup (Historic Sports Car Club) where we talk about the eligibility and their year ahead. Following this is a chat with Duncan Wiltshire, who talks about how they got through 2020, and also what is the Donington Historic Festival going to look like under semi lock-down? John Pearson at Equipe Classic Racing talks us through their fast growing series of races, what cars are eligible, what makes them different from other series, and what’s new for 2021.

We sign off, with a chat with Hugh Chambers the chief of the Motorsport governing body where we touch on what they have been doing behind the scenes to get Motorsport back on, we cover the Sport Elite rule, what Motorsport UK are doing to help ease the Brexit fallout, and how Historic Motorsport is perceived within Motorsport UK.

This three part series is bought to you by Classic and Sports Finance To find out more about financing your a classic car visit: https://www.classicandsportsfinance.com
