The Royal Automobile Club’s annual festival of motoring, London Motor Week, will embrace a brand new addition this year – The Art of Motoring. This inaugural exhibition will feature sixteen of the most prolific international motoring and motor racing artists who will display their latest works under the same roof for the first time in more than a decade.
Housed at the Royal Opera Arcade at 5b Pall Mall, just a stone’s throw from the Royal Automobile Club’s London clubhouse, will be over 100 original works which will be for sale.
The exhibition opened on 26 October and runs until 31 October 2015, it pays tribute to Sir Stirling Moss OBE, and features some newly commissioned artwork to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of his Mille Miglia and British Grand Prix victories.
Upon opening the event, Tom Purves, Chairman of the Royal Automobile Club said ‘this rare exhibition draws together the works of the world’s leading automotive artists, many of which have not been seen under the same roof for more than a decade. The club is delighted to showcase such masterpieces.’
The exhibition forms part of the Royal Automobile Club’s annual festival of motoring and London Motor Week and is free enter to the public daily.
All the invited artists have a passion for motor racing and motor vehicles, which shines through in this exhibition, and all have been influenced during their careers by many things – including the ‘pop’ art of the swinging 60’s, the speed and movement of a motor vehicle and the relationship between man and the motor car.

The exhibition is free to the public from Monday 26 – Friday 30 October, 10.30am–6.00pm daily and 12 noon–4.00pm on Saturday 31 October.
