We are just just two weeks away from the Goodwood 77th Members Meeting where the full timetable has been released:
Saturday’s highlights include qualifying for all races, including high-speed demonstrations for V8 NASCARs and a Porsche 917 high-speed demonstration at 2:35pm and Le Mans Prototypes (get you’re ear plugs ready) at 19.40pm. Racing gets underway in the afternoon with Heats 1 & 2 of the Betty Richmond Trophy for Mini Saloons (up to 1300cc), and the Gerry Marshall Trophy (for Group 1 Saloon cars) at 19.40pm.
The Gerry Marshall Trophy has a star studded driver line-up including Jochen Mass, Emanuele Pirro, Richard Attwood, to name just a few, it should be a very exciting race.
Sunday’s racing kicks off at 9:00am with the Parnell Cup, a race filled with Grand Prix and ‘voiturette’ cars that raced between 1935 and 1953. From then on it’s a packed day, with fan-favourites like the Derek Bell Cup and Graham Hill Trophy, as well as the final of the Betty Richmond Trophy. Squeezed between the races we’ll have more high-speed demonstrations once again, with Porsche 917s, NASCARs, M1 Procars and Le Mans prototypes all cranking up the noise. The 77th Members’ Meeting will end with a prize giving ceremony in the Great Hall.
