International auctioneers COYS return to their annual sale at Techno Classica in Essen, Germany, on 9th April with a selection of 130 classic and sports cars worth more than €15 million.
The auction, held at the largest historic car exhibition in Europe, features vehicles such as a 1952 Grosser Werkmeister with FIA, FIVA and German historic papers (refer to COYS for estimate), a 1968 Ferrari 330 GT/C (estimated at €600,000 – €700,000), 1978 BMW M1 works car, also the first M1 to be road registered (€550,000- €650,000), a 1986 Lancia Delta S4 Stradale “Group B Rally” Specification (€350,000 – €400,000) and a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 SS (€90,000 – €110,000).
Chris Routledge, Managing Partner of COYS, said: “We always look forward to coming back to this event and this year we are offering a fabulous and vast selection of vehicles, ranging from a German racing legend such as the 1952 Grosser Werkmeister to highly sought-after collectors cars such as the 1968 Ferrari 330 GT/C.”
The auction will also feature a 1929 Lancia Lambda, 8th Series Torpedo Type 223 evocation carrosserie by Casaro (€180,000- €200,000), a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 (€240,000 – €260,000), a 1965 Ghia 1500 GT Coupe (€65,000 – €95,000), a 1996 Porsche 993 RS Coupe (€240,000 – €280,000) and a 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole (€375,000 – €425,000).
Other important lots include a 1959 Alfa Romeo Touring Spider with one owner from new (€45,000 – €55,000), a 1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4 S Roadster (€130,000 – £140,000), a 1961 MG A Mk II Coupe, one of only 600 produced (€20,000 – €25,000), a 1992 Ferrari Testarossa (€115,000 – €120,000) and a 1980 Citroën Méhari (€15,000 – €20,000).
COYS will also be auctioning at no reserve a selection of cars from the Stasys Brundza collection, one of the largest European collections of Cadillacs. This includes a 1953 Cadillac 62 Coupe de Ville (€18,000 – €25,000), a 1949 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood (€15,000 – €18,000) and a 1939 Cadillac Series 39-75 Imperial Sedan (€30,000 – €40,000).
