So, you could say we tested these. Mike and I both bought a pair, and then covered the length of Italy in them, competing on the Milano Taranto. 3000 kms later there is a big thumbs up from both of us.
Mike went for the brown which look and feel pretty retro and fit in well with our classic collection. He finds them super comfy, and not too cumbersome, also the leather gives a bit, so still plenty of feel for the gear/ brake levers etc. And great for days out when you need to do a bit of walking about too. Having now done some serious mileage they are roughing up nicely too!
On the ladies side of things, sadly the long pair are not available in ladies sizes, or in brown, which is a shame, as I have to be happy feeling the wind whipping at my ankles or drag out my 80s leg warmers to bridge the gap!
