Rally the Globe goes Vintage only to Dolomites

Rally The Globe is all set to host its first event exclusively for cars in the pre-war category to explore the remarkable scenery and incredible roads of the Austrian Alps and Italian Dolomites.

Starting and finishing in the beautiful Interalpen Hotel just outside Innsbruck, crews will be surrounded by tremendous mountain views before even getting on the road for this eight day adventure.

The rally starts out venturing into the Austrian Tyrol and over the imposing Alpine ridge into Italy, entering the iconic scenery of the Dolomites on the way into Bolzano. They will be based here for three nights, setting out each day to explore the Brenta Dolomites and the intricate road network around this scenic apple-growing region, with pretty mountain villages, remote passes and hopefully a chance to sample the local apple strudel!

After this the veteran automotive explorers will set a course for Cortina, where a rest day is also on the cards, giving chance for a little TLC for cars and crews alike. After a well-deserved break, taking advantage of the majestic mountains and memorable driving roads in the heart of the Dolomites for the next three days, before heading back to the start point outside of Innsbruck for the celebrations and prize-giving.

Sounds like great fun, this adventure takes please from 24 September – 2 October and as ever the R-T-G crew will have full sweep, medical and mechanical back-up and if you are interested in getting involved please visit: www.rallytheglobe.com
