This year’s Mille Miglia has just got underway, these images were taken at the Exhibition centre in Brescia as competitors gathered for their signing on, scruntineering and formalities on Tuesday and as the event kicked off on Wednesday.

This years event takes 467 entries from he traditional start in Brescia to Ferrara and Cervia, Cervia to Rome on leg 2, via San Marino, Arezzo and Orvieto.  Leg 3 starts in Rome and ends in Parma, taking in Monterrigioni, Lucca and Sarzana. The Final leg, Leg 4 starts in Parma and finished of course in Brescia taking in the circuits of Lodi and Monza.

Looking at the entry list for 2018, we note a number of cars to follow; Katarina Kyvalova and Knud Sassmanshausen in their Bentley 4.5 Litre Open Tourer, Jamie and Susannah Constable in their 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport Zagato.  Richard Ford and Patrick Watts in a Supercharged MG C-Type, Martin and Olivia Hunt in their HWM Jaguar 3.4 Sport. Plus there are few London classic car dealers out on the tour Max Girado rides with Tom Hartley in a Ferrari 500 Mondial Spider Scaglietti and JD Classics Derek Hood is driving Steven Reidling around in a 1951 Jaguar MkV11.
