To celebrate their 60th anniversary Lister built 10 brand new original specification 1958 Works Lister ‘Knobbly’s’, built to meet current FIA Appendix K race regulations, BHL158 was the very first production Lister Knobbly built by Lister motor company since 1959.

Delivered new in 2014 and uniquely finished in Honda Silver BHL 158 was built to 1958 production spec including 3.8 litre engine with wide angle head and sandcast carburettors. Being the first of the original cars, it required a fair bit of  “tweaking” to to be competitive in today’s advanced historic racing scene.

The development was undertaken by experts in the Lister field and has resulted in producing a reliable, accessible car which really rewards the driver both in aesthetics and driving pleasure.

Modifications include driver repositioning, pedal engineering and accessibility to all the main service items, this year the car has also become road registered as a Lister Knobbly in 2017, thus making it very suitable for exciting road events such as Tour Auto, etc.

The car was invited to take part in the 75th Members Meeting at the famous Goodwood circuit in 2017 in the Archie Scott Brown trophy finishing a creditable 16th out of 28 starters in amateur hands. It has also been a regular competitor in the premier Motor Racing Legends series the Stirling Moss Trophy which tours the best international events such as the Donington Historic Festival, Spa Six Hour and the Silverstone Classic.
