With less than two weeks to the start of the inaugural Run For The Hills event, Morgan Motor Company is excited to share the vast array of activities it has planned for enthusiasts of all ages.

Held at the Malvern Three Counties Showground from August 26-27, the family-owned British marque will bring together 1000’s of Morgans from a 108-year history for two days and nights of live entertainment, Morgan themed events, trade stands and much more.

Whether you seek high-speed thrills behind the wheel of a Morgan and high-flying excitement in a hot air balloon or prefer to indulge in beauty treatment and listen to the famous English Symphony Orchestra, this top 10 list has something for every enthusiast.

  1. See the world’s fastest car

The 1000mph Bloodhound SSC land speed record car will be on static display at Run For The Hills 2017. This supersonic marvel of automotive British engineering can cover a mile in 3.6 seconds and is powered by a jet engine and a rocket, which together will produce more than 135,000 horsepower!

  1. Raise your heart rate in a Morgan

Take a spin in a Morgan on the AutoSOLO course at Run For The Hills on the Saturday. For visitors who do not have their own Morgan or are not old enough to drive, they will be able to take a spin with an expert factory driver and feel the exhilaration of a true sports car. Rides are on offer to all visitors on a first come first served basis at a small cost of £2.

  1. Take a ride in a hot air balloon

Witness this fabulous event from above in a hot air balloon. There will be a tethered hot air balloon on site all weekend to enable visitors a chance to take in the stunning views of the Malvern hills and beyond. Rides are free to all visitors on a first come first served basis.

  1. Listen to the English Symphony Orchestra

The world famous English Symphony Orchestra will be closing the event on Sunday evening at Run For The Hills with the Morgan proms. Playing iconic pieces of music alongside specially created Morgan visuals before closing the evening with a spectacular firework finale. Anyone with a Sunday or weekend ticket can enjoy the concert at no extra cost and individual concert tickets can also be purchased for just £20.

  1. Discover homemade food, crafts and artisan goods

Morgan is all about craft and hand made. There will be a large selection of artisan makers selling food and crafts, be sure not to miss them.

  1. Watch a stunt show

Stunts on 2 wheels or in the air, Run For The Hills has it all! On Saturday the Bold Dog FMX display team will be performing 3 stunt shows in the main arena. On Sunday the amazing Richard Goodwin will be wowing the crowds with an aerobatic stunt display in his muscle biplane.

  1. See 1000s of Morgans

A stand out attraction at any Morgan event is the spectacular number of Morgans. There will be over 1000 Morgans of all different model variants spanning the 108 years of production. Witness how Morgan models have evolved over 100 years as each one returns home to their birthplace of Malvern.

  1. Race your friends on a simulator or have a go on a funfair

Have you got what it takes to be a top racing driver and beat your friends? We’ll have several racing simulators for visitors to prove their talent behind the wheel. These will be free of charge so have as many laps as you like!

Under 16s get in free at Run For The Hills, and in addition to that, there is a large funfair that is also free, so bring the kids and make it a family event.

  1. Get your hair cut or nails done!

We’ll be offering haircuts, beard trims, shoe polishes and manicures for visitors throughout the weekend. Barbertown male grooming and The Avenue ladies beauty will be on hand to provide free of charge treatments to all visitors on a first come first served basis.

  1. Witness craftsmanship first hand

We’ll be taking Morgan’s most famed craftsmanship methods from the Pickersleigh Road factory, to the Three Counties Showground, and performing live craftsmanship demonstrations throughout the weekend. It’s not just Morgan, there will also be the head cooper from The Balvenie Whisky giving barrel making demonstrations all weekend.
